- Remember, remember the Fifth of November,
- The Gunpowder Treason and Plot,
- I know of no reason
- Why the Gunpowder Treason
- Should ever be forgot.
- Guy Fawkes, Guy Fawkes, t'was his intent
- To blow up the King and Parli'ment.
- Three-score barrels of powder below
- To prove old England's overthrow;
- By God's providence he was catch'd
- With a dark lantern and burning match.
- Holloa boys, holloa boys, let the bells ring
- Holloa boys, holloa boys, God save the King!
- And what should we do with him? Burn him!
Isn't it nice to have your deed or rather misdeed celebrated by generations to come? Guy Fawkes had that honour and like last year I went to Battersea Park to celebrate Guy Fawkes Day... It started with a traditional bonfire....

Now that was worth my £6. The theme for the fireworks display? Love. That is indeed in short supply around the world at this moment...
And let's remember remember the fifth of November... Of how one guy tried and failed to blow up Parliament. Hang drawn and quartered he was but at least he gave us something to celebrate....
